"Evryone wants to understand painting. Why doesn't anyone try to understand the singing of the birds ? Why do you love night, the flower, everything that surrounds you without trying to understand it"

The first thing one experiences while looking at Iwo's works is the feeling of surprise. One Is surprised by the complete distinctiveness of his world, so different form what is currently happening in art. Iwo does not care for the trends and fashions, consistently following his own path. His favorite themes include landscape and human figures and recently still life. His works which bring to mind the tradition off Renaissance painting with clear references to Boticelli, Durer or Breugel carry his own sense Of art, These very personal works prove the artist's creativity and erudition. For many years, as we have looked at his paintings full of colors, so uncommon these days, with the gilding that serves a role similar to musical counterpoints, we have gladly accepted the invitation to follow the play of nuances, two thinks that art can be understood by everyone. To prove his point he tells the story of his seven-year-old nephew, Lukas who once looked at one of his paintings and said: -You know uncle, (don't understand it, but I realty like It. Iwo believes that they were the most beautiful and meaningful words. It is not necessary to understand a painting. Sometimes it is better to feel it.

Jerzy Feiner, along time member of the Californian artistic circles, once said inaugurating the exhibition of Iwo's works in Temporary Contemporary Gallery " How does Iwo look like in Los Angeles?, Well, he doesn't look bad at all." We can say, that Iwo and Mira don't look bad but in fact they look really well. Also here, in Cracow. The fact that they exhibit together is justified by their joint love tar the masterpieces, and their reverence for tradition. The worlds which they create, although stemming from the same fascination, are completely different. What makes them similar, however, is the meaning in art. It is the pursuit of truth, originality, and their extraordinary sensitivity and intuition.
